How to make a
Big Buford

Did you ever wonder how your Big Buford from Checkers or Rally's is made.
Here is you chance to learn how to make this iconic sandwich.

Step 1. Toast your Bun

First is to grab the kaiser bun and put it in the toaster. By putting it in the toaster it will toast the bun but keep it nice and keep the bun nice and warm.

Step 2. Put your bun a wrap

The next step that the line person does is grab a wrap to put the top of the bun on.

Step 3. Mayo

After the line person puts the top of the bun on the wrap they put mayo on the top of the bun. The mayo should cover the bun with a nice even layer. They shouldn’t see the top of the bun once the mayo is on the bun.

Step 4. Ketchup

Once the mayo is on the bun the next thing to go on is the ketchup. There should be a nice even amount of ketchup that goes around the bun once.

Step 5. Pickles

After the mayo and ketchup the line person will move on to the pickles. They will put two pickles on the sandwich spaced out nice and evenly on the bun.

Step 6. Onion

After the pickles are placed on the sandwich the line person will move on to the onions. They will grab an onion that fits the sandwich so the customer gets a bite of onion in each bite. The onion shouldn’t be on one side of the bun and it shouldn’t be a bad onion.

Step 7. Lettuce

After the onion is placed on the sandwich. The lettuce should be nice and green on the sandwich so there shouldn’t be any brown lettuce. The line person should do a three finger pinch of lettuce on the sandwich so there is not too much lettuce and not too little.

Step 8. Tomato

After the lettuce is placed on the sandwich the line person will move on to the tomato. The tomato should fit the bun so the customer will get a bite of tomato in each bite. The tomato should look nice and red when put on the sandwich.

Step 9. Bottom of bun

While making the top of the bun the line person would have to call the person on the grill what they need for the sandwich. The grill person would have brought the meat patties over and placed it on the bottom part of the bun.

Step 10. Mustard

Once the meat is placed on the bottom bun the line person will put a nice ring of mustard on top of the meat.

Final step

Once the mustard is placed on the meat the line person will grab the bottom of the bun and put it on the top bun on top of the tomato. Then the line person will flip the sandwich to the top, is on the top and the bottom is on the bottom. Then the line person will center the sandwich in the middle of the wrap. Once the the sandwich is centered the line person will start to wrap the sandwich
